An Hour With Ralph

If you've got an hour to spare tonight take a gander at this Ralph Lauren interview on Charlie Rose circa 1993.  It's fascinating to hear Mr. Lauren (born Ralph Rueben Lifshitz) muse on his upbringing, career and the Polo aesthetic.  The only man to ever turn a brand into an actual lifestyle has some pretty amazing things to say, that's for damn sure.  From the website...

"An hour conversation with American fashion designer Ralph Lauren about his understanding of the American aesthetic, his place in the Coty Hall of Fame for men and women's design, and his Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers. He also discusses his rise to fashion stardom, the success of his labels and his future plans for his company."
