Calling A Spade A Spade

Jack Spade has added some new gear to their webstore and if you're in need of some summer basics I highly recommend checking it out.  I'd personally pass on the $95 ties (they're nice, but $95 nice? Really? C'mon), but the shirts, on the other hand, are pretty awesome.  The best of the bunch are the university stripe oxfords (an absolute must own, but often hard to find), the short sleeve popover and the pique polo complete with a with a white collar and sleeve trim.  It's all typical Jack Spade fare - American classics made out of quality fabric with a good fit.  The prices are a bit steepish, as per designer anything, but if you're looking to get yourself that one new great piece of S/S shirting the financial impact shouldn't be too bad.  JS continues to prove that they can do more than just bags and set themselves up as an option for guys looking to grab those crucial staples of a well curated wardrobe.

  1. Those are some nice looking shirts. I particurly like the yellowish button down and the blue polo with white trim. Its great with that simple belt and seersucker looking shorts. That is the perfect summer look!

  3. My favorite is the soft yellow shirt- it's an understated shade that looks great against a nice tan.
